Design Studio LLC, was founded in 1996 by Susan Utley who is the Designer and Project Manager of this Studio. She has graduated with a BS degree in Interior Design and holds an MBA with high honors from Johns Hopkins University. She has been accepted as an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) which required a formal design education and years of service.

Susan Utley started her passion for design by opening Design Studio, Bethesda, after having ranked as Director in the corporate America; working for the likes of Westinghouse Boeing, BDM (now Northrop), Microsoft and Cisco Systems. Her BS in Interior Design and her management and computer skills have proven great assets in pursuing her passion for interior design. Susan’s work is accompanied by excellent service with loyalty to her clients and key contractors, providing seamless, trustworthy partnerships in all of her business transactions.

Design Studio is available to the greater metro of Washington DC and beyond. Susan has as far reaching clients as Kansas and Seattle. Distance is not a concern to this Studio as they will fulfill the same courtesy for clients no matter where the home, office or vacation houses take them.
